January meeting was the AGM.
Report from each committee member was given.
Trophies awarded. Howard won turner of the year (Bill Alston memorial trophy). John Williams won Intermediate turner of the year (The Orchard trophy) Congratulations to both of them.
After a proposal from Paul, based on current club day actions, that club days in the future should be from 1000 to 1300. If any member wishes to have a lunch at the pub then it would be after clear up and lock up at 1300. This would save the cost of hall hire for 3 hours. Carried by unanimous vote.

After the meeting Keith and Howard were introducing Janet to pen turning. Paul was giving a masterclass in sharpening. Chris was working on the club lathe and Ted was turning spheres. Session closed at 1300.
February meeting will be a professional all day demonstration by The Tiny Turner. Emma Cook.
